2018 U.S.-Uzbekistan annual business forum

On October 23, 2018 the EH delegation attended 2018 U.S.-Uzbekistan annual business forum held in Tashkent.

According to Carolyn Lamm, AUCC Chairperson: “Today’s forum is about the opportunity to build a stronger economy, modernize existing infrastructure, develop new technology, increase productivity and, most importantly, invest in human capital”.

A dynamic rapidly developing market and reform policy of Uzbekistan is becoming an important factor of the world business community’s growing interest towards Uzbekistan. For the first time ever the forum in Tashkent was attended by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur L. Ross, Jr. who gave his official remarks and mentioned among other things that the fact

that last week for the first time in Tashkent the Central Asian Trade Forum was held reflects the opportunities that exist for investments in most populous Central Asian market.

The EH team believes that the Uzbek market offers great opportunities for investors.
